In the early hours, of March 22, 2016, Brussels, the capital of Belgium was rocked by a series of explosions. At this time Belgium remains at a level 4 terror threat. What does ‘terror threat level four’ mean? This is the highest level of terror there is. Two brothers Brahim and Khalid Bakroui are the identified bombers in the attacks that killed dozens and injured many people after three explosions rocked both the metro station and airport in Belgium’s capital.
At this time, at least 31 people are reported dead and an estimated 270 others have been injured.
The two brothers Brahim and Khalid Bakroui are alleged to having had connections to Salah Abdeslam, the prime suspect in last year’s Paris terror attacks. An apartment rented by one of the Brussels bombers was found to contain Abdeslam’s fingerprints.
The media is notifying the public on victims and several memorials have been put up for the deceased.
